Ypres (Dutch: Ieper) is in the province of West Flanders near the Belgian-French border and has just under 35,000 inhabitants. The A19 motorway makes the city easy to reach. It is, above all, those interested in history who will find a visit here rewarding. For instance, there are plenty of notable edifices to be seen, from various eras.
