With 6,400 inhabitants, Bertrange is one of the smaller municipalities in the Grand Duchy. Due to its proximity to the capital city and the good motorway connection, many business travellers stay in the town's hotels.
Bertrange is also a popular destination for holidaymakers. Nature lovers can be seen scouring the charming countryside around here on wide-ranging walks, while local hostelries treat their guests to sophisticated specimens of French cuisine. For a spending spree, one just has to walk half a mile down the road to the large new shopping centre. Plenty of buses run to the capital from here, so city day trips are no problem.
Economically, Bertrange is an ambitious town. In partnership with the neighbouring councils, and based on a jointly-framed convention, it is pressing ahead determinedly with developing the region. The agreement is aimed at achieving commercial growth to ensure that living standards continue to rise.
