With over 180,000 inhabitants, Groningen lies on the Winschoterdiep, Van Starkenborgh, Noord-Willems and Ems canals. The city can be reached via Groningen Eelde Airport. Sights include the main building of Groningen university in the centre, the Academy building, the internationally-renowned City Museum with its unusual design, the Museum of Nature, the Northern Shipping Museum (Noordelijk Scheepvaartmuseum) and the University Museum. The Noorderslag pop festival and the Noorderzon theatre festival are annual tourist draws. With many pedestrian areas and street cafés, the centre invites visitors to shop and stroll. The Oosterpoort and Stadsschouwburg offer concerts and theatre performances. The Great Market and Poelestraat are home to the city's discos and Europe's largest pub, the Drie Gezusters, which houses 20 bars on four levels, including a bar 30 metres long.
