Los Angeles

The City of Los Angeles, L.A. for short, is the largest city in California. After New York, the “City of Angels” is the second-largest city in the United States, and known for its film industry in Hollywood.
If you’re interested in culture, this is the place to be: Los Angeles has more museums per capita than anywhere else on the planet – one museum for every 3,000 inhabitants. Famous museums include, among many others, the Hammer Museum, the Southwest Museum and the Huntington Library. Don’t miss the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, and for a great view of the famous Hollywood sign in the hills north of the L.A. visit the Griffith Observatory.
Children will love L.A. too: Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure offer entertainment for the whole family.
Los Angeles offers a lot on the culinary side too with many inviting international restaurants. Afterwards take a shopping tour down Rodeo Drive, L.A.’s most famous shopping mile, with many luxury boutiques. At the end of Rodeo Drive you run into famous department stores like Barneys New York and Saks Fifth Avenue. But there are also Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s here, which can be found at the Beverly Center and Westfield Century City. Shops more typical of L.A. can be found in Melrose Avenue. Besides a visit to Universal Studios in Hollywood, there is another famous shopping promenade, Universal City Walk.
